About the Federation of Filipino American Associations, Inc.

The Federation of Filipino American Associations, Inc. (FFAAI) is a Nonprofit 501 (c)(3) Community Based Organization, strategically located at 2125 Santa Fe Ave., Long Beach California to be able to effectively implement and extend social services which are culturally and linguistically appropriate among residents of the Los Angeles County .

The Federation has just celebrated its 18th year founding anniversary alongside with a big event Fiesta and Health Fair, dubbed as the 2nd Filipino Neighborhood Fiesta, "BAYANIHAN" , wherein a portion of the Santa Fe Ave., from 20th Street to Spring were officially proclaimed by then 1992 City council of long Beach as a Filipino Neighborhood.

The proclamation FILIPINO NEIGHBORHOOD was made during the term of then Long Beach Mayor Ernie Kell, and that during the Filipino neighborhood Fiesta last June 1, 2002 it was again recognized by special guest who graced the occassion like Mayor O'Neill, Councilman Ray Grabinski, Representative of Veterans Affairs Jay R. Vargas, Field Representative of Congresswoman Millender McDonald Ms. Selenika and current Councilwoman Tonia Uranga. This coming June 17, 2002 a bigger Filipino Neighborhood Fiesta is being prepared, this undergoing is always accompanied by Health Fair, we have an online application should there be any individual or organization who would like to participate in the above mentioned project.

Affiliated Organizations

The following organizations have been organized and/or afiliated with the Federation of Filipino American Associations, Inc.

  1. FAMA - Filipino American Mutual Association, focused on meetings and immediate needs of Senior citizens.
  2. FAWW II - Federation of Filipino American World War II Veterans, USA Region, Long Beach Chapter.
  3. Sons & Daughters of Filipino - American World War II Veterans
  4. UFAWA - United Filipino-American Women's Association. Grassroot services and Volunteer movement for economic, social, political empowerment of ethnic minority women.
  5. Long Beach - Bacolod Sister City - To enhance the culture, education, business and trade between two cities and countries
